HP EliteBook 2540p Business Class Ultraportable
HP EliteBook 2540p is the lightest EliteBook from HP. Starting at 3.3-pounds, built around a 12.1-inch 1366 x 768 LED-backlit display, and has an optional 2-megapixel webcam, fingerprint scanner and Gobi EVDO/HSPA integrated 3G. Other connectivity includes a handful of USB 2.0 ports, VGA, gigabit ethernet, ExpressCard/34. Like its swivel-screen sibling, the EliteBook 2540p has a choice of Intel Core i3, i5 and i7 processors along with up to 8GB of DDR3 memory and various HDD/SSD storage options.
For the connectivity, the new EliteBook ultraportable has 802.11n wireless, Bluetooth, the optional HP un2420 EV-DO/HSPA mobile broadband module, an Ethernet LAN port and a 56k modem. As for battery life, a 3 cell battery that provides up to 4 hours of run time, a 6 cell battery that provides up to 8.5 hours, and a 9 cell battery for 12.5 hours. There’s also HP Fast Charge, which promises to get your battery to 90-percent within 90 minutes (assuming the 2540p is switched off).
The price will be starts from $1,099 and will be available in the Americans market next month.
